Do You Love Steak? Deer Creek Days In Glenrock Needs You
There are some things for which I was put on this earth, and I think I've just found my true purpose.
Eating Steak.
For a long time if someone asked me what my favorite meal was, I'd say either pizza or cheeseburgers. I think that's probably because I was broke and that's about all I could afford.
As I've grewn older, and still today, my answer is steak. Beef, deer, elk, or bison are my top choices, but I don't think I've ever turned down a steak.
When you do an online search for what Wyoming's top food is, steak in the top five of most lists. If you're like me and steak is your fave...do I have an opportunity for you.
You could be a part of history in the making at Deer Creek Days and Wyoming's first ever Steak Cookoff.
You read that correctly, a Steak Cookoff.
The Casper Shrine Club hosts its WingDing Chicken Wing Cookoff, the Casper API hosts its Chili Cookoff, and now Deer Creek Days will feature a Steak Cookoff. The first-ever Steak Cookoff will be held on Friday, June 27, in Glenrock.
There will be two classes to enter: Steak and Anything Yak (ground).
If you'd like to participate, the entry fee for the Steak division is $80, and the entry fee for the Anything Yak division is $25. Depending on how many teams are entered, the top ten teams will win money.
To register, you must be at least 13 years old and breathing. That's it. Anyone can get in.
