Finding Calm In The Chaos Of School Pick-up Zones In Casper
As we ease into the second half of the school year in Casper, school drop-off and pick-up zones are a hot topic, and folks are letting their feelings about the topic be known. Some of those speaking out feel the congested zones are due to several reasons.
The most popular thoughts on the school zone issues are:
- Casper's School Choice Option
- The process is taking too long.
- Drivers exiting their vehicles.
- Not paying attention.
- Use buses.
We decided to get the input directly from the public. We're offering people the chance to vent and let us know how they feel the situation can improve. Our Facebook post is open for anyone to voice their opinion.
The Scary Mommy website offered the 10 Commandments of the School Drop-off Line:
- Thou shalt not get out of your car - Keep the line moving.
- Thou shalt not catch up with other parents - Keep the conversations to a minimum.
- Thou shalt not use your phone - Don't be a distracted parent. Keep an eye out for your kids.
- Thou shalt not honk your horn - The drop-off line is crazy enough without you honking, scaring the crap out of people, and causing a scene.
- Thou shalt not channel a racecar driver - Slow down.
- Thou shalt not cut in line - Wait your turn, you're not more important than the next vehicle.
- Thou shalt not wait until the last minute to get yourself together - The time is the same nearly every day. There are no surprises when it comes to getting them to school or picking them up.
- Thou shalt contain your rage - Don't be the problem. Pay attention, know the process, keep the line moving, and don't get into a yelling match with other people waiting for their precious child.
- Thou shalt not drag other moms on social media - Sure, everyone wants to make sure that others know how much of a dumb-dumb that certain mom you saw causing problems is. There's no reason to slam her on social media.
- Thou shalt not forget we're all in it together - Everyone wants the best for their kids, but don't be the person who thinks that your kids are better than others and that you don't need to follow the rules. Everyone has a busy life, a packed schedule, and a to-do list a mile long.

Which Female Country Stars Had the Most No. 1 Hits After Having Kids?
Looking at 26 different female country artists' careers before and after having children, a distressing truth comes into view: More moms had success in country music in the '70s, '80s and '90s than do today. Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn are two stars who enjoyed massive success after coming into the industry as teenage moms. There's simply not an example of a star with a trajectory like that in recent years.
