A Casper man is heading to prison after admitting his role in a stabbing at a bar.

Thirty-three-year-old Ira Goff was sentenced to 22-to-30 months at the Wyoming State Penitentiary, after pleading guilty to one charge of aggravated assault.

According to witnesses, Goff was in a scuffle with another person at a bar in May, and a third person separated the two.

Investigators say Goff then started taunting the other person, and stabbed the man when he approached Goff.

Investigators said Goff tried to flee the scene by climbing over a fence, but was captured a short time later by police.
