The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a High Wind Warning for Thursday for portions of Central and Southern Wyoming including the city of Casper from noon until 9:00 p.m. Thursday.

NWS meteorologists say a strong Pacific system will bring southwest winds 30 to 40 m.p.h. with gusts over 60 m.p.h. from Beaver Rim to Jeffrey City and onto Casper. Winds should decrease this evening as a cold front moves through the
area. Impacts include blowover risk to high-profile, lightweight vehicles.
