A High Wind Warning has been issued for Casper and Natrona County as a strong storm system moves into the state. Meteorologists with the National Weather Service in Riverton say the system will move into the west Tuesday night with favorable conditions for strong to high winds forming along the Cody Foothills and moving into the wind corridor from Jeffrey City to Casper area Tuesday night through much of Wednesday.

The High Wind Warning is in effect from 11:00pm Tuesday until 2:00pm Wednesday, with Southwest winds of 30mph to 40mph and gusts up to 60mph possible, especially on Outer Drive in Casper.

The Weather Service says people traveling across Natrona County should be alert for strong and sometimes sudden wind gusts, and advise keeping two hands on the wheel and slowing down if necessary.
