A Natrona County man and former Casper McDonald’s employee faces up to ten years in prison after admitting that he pocketed over $1,700 from the restaurant in a fraudulent gift card scheme.

Randy L. Hatcher of Casper entered a guilty plea to one count of felony theft in Natrona County District Court on Friday.

Prosecutors say Hatcher took the money between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 of last year.

He was arrested after the McDonald’s corporate offices were alerted to several irregular gift card transactions, where Hatcher allegedly logged falsified gift cards into the company's computer system and then took cash from the register.

Hatcher is free on $2,500 bond. He will be sentenced at a later date.
