Former Cavalry Football Coach Hired as UW Assistant
The Wyoming Cowboy football program announced Tuesday that Shannon Moore will be their new tight ends/fullbacks coach. Casper football fans will remember Moore as the head coach for the Wyoming Cavalry indoor football team in 2004 and 2005. His career record with the Cav's was 18-11 with a playoff berth in 2005. After leaving Casper, Moore spent 8 years as an assistant at South Dakota State followed by 2 years at Florida International and 3 more at East Carolina. His wife Lindsey is a Casper native and a UW graduate. Moore is a Gordon, Nebraska native and played his college football at Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota.
