Evansville Man To Remain Jailed On Child Porn Charges

An Evansville man will stay in jail a bit longer.

54-year old Donald Meeks of Evansville, was arrested last week and charged with possession and receiving child pornography.

Earlier this week, a federal judge ruled he should stay in custody, because of the risk he poses to the community.

Investigators say they searched Meeks' home and found a computer and several CD's containing child pornographic images.

When questioned by the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigations, Meeks admitted to downloading the images from Internet, sometime over the course of the past 15 months.

He has waived his preliminary hearing, and if convicted, he could face 5 to 30 years in prison.
