One person ended up going to hospital after a vehicle collision on Casper's east side Thursday morning.

According to a police affidavit, just before 8 AM on Thursday, Ronald Gonzales of Douglas, was north-bound passing through the intersection of 12th and Wyoming Boulevard on his motorcycle, when he was hit by a van driven by Darrell Poisson.

Mr. Gonzales later told police he entered the intersection on a yellow light, when the van pulled in front of him.

One witness that saw the collision, said Poisson left the scene and officers later found the van on Donegal street.

Police made contact with Mr.  Poisson, who later admitted to smoking 2 bowls of marijuana the night before.

He was arrested and charged by police with DUI with serious injury, use of a controlled substance, and leaving the scene.

As for Mr. Gonzalez, he suffered 2 broken bones in his lower right leg, as a result of the collision.
