Dan Speas Fish Hatchery Dedication Set for April 27

A newly renovated fish Hatchery, located west of Casper promises to improve fishing for Wyoming anglers. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invite the public to attend the dedication of the Dan Speas Fish Hatchery Friday, April 27.

Robin Kepple for the Casper Game and Fish Department regional offices says the expansion allows other hatcheries around the state to diversify their fish stocks.

"Basically what we've done now is to redesign and renovate Speas Hatchery to increase the production, the number of fish that it's able to produce"

The hatchery also provides a chance for the public to see how fish are raised from eggs to large fish.

The dedication is 9 to 11 a.m. April 27th at Dans Speas Fish Hatchery, 8200 Speas Road.
