This is the final in a series of  introductions to Casper City Council candidates.

The final three are interested in the two seats available in Ward II. That makes six in all, but only four will go forward to the ballot in November following the primaries August 21st.

Craig Hedquist has work in construction in the Casper area for most of his life.

"What I have that maybe not all the candidates have is I have a real hands on business experience and I've seen government work good and government work poorly, first hand."

Hedquist says he brings a different perspective based on his experience dealing with government and private sector relations.

Janel Moore is an elementary school teacher and small business owner.

"I lead by example so as your elected official I will continue to serve my community. This will be done through protection of your personal rights, property rights, and business rights."

She says she's a conservative when it comes to creating new ordinances and rezoning of residential areas.

Charlie Powell is an incumbent who was appointed to complete the term of Stephanie Boster. He says he's learned a lot about the city and how it operates during his time on city council.

"I like to listen carefully and try to formulate opinions slowly and try to think in terms of the long term impact of all the decisions that council is faced with."

Powell says he wants to help address questions concerning subsidies to recreational programs and the appropriate development of downtown.
