Christopher Wallace Of Evansville Charged In Alcova Lake Cabin Break-In Case
An Evansville teen is accused of being involved in about two dozen burglaries at cabins near Alcova Lake last year.
Seventeen year old Christopher Wallace has pleaded not guilty to one charge of burglary.
Investigators with the Natrona County Sheriff's Office say in middle November 2016, there were 24 separate reports of cabin break-ins at the Pelican Ridge, Rocky Shore and Jakes Run areas of Alcova Lake.
One cabin had a video camera installed and it captured an image of two people at the time the break-ins were committed and deputies were able to identify Wallace and learned he had been listed as a runaway since May 2016.
Wallace was eventually located and when interviewed he admitted to the break-ins, and deputies were able to recover some of the stolen items.
Two other juveniles have been charged in connection to this case.
Wallace is being held on $20,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Even though he was 17 at the time of his arrest, Natrona County Prosecutors are charging him as an adult.
