A Cheyenne man charged with felony possession of testosterone, who was out on bond while awaiting trial, could face up to an additional 20 years in prison after allegedly burglarizing a garage.
Cheyenne police arrested Dixon A. Ferrin III on Jan. 21, after he reportedly admitted to stealing a chainsaw, hedge trimmer and arc welder from a garage in the 1200 block of Foyer Avenue. The tools were valued at $1,500.
The 20-year-old was charged with burglary and theft and his bond set at $5,000 cash. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 2 at 2:30 p.m.
Ferrin was expected to go to trial on the testosterone charge on Feb. 20, but the trial has been reset for March 19. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison.
