Cheyenne Man Charged With DUI After Hitting, Seriously Injuring Pedestrian
A 45-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged with DUI-serious bodily injury after police say he hit a man with his car Monday evening.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. near the intersection of E. Lincolnway and Pinion Drive.
Public Information Officer Alex Farkas says Bryan Ciccone was driving west when he veered off the road and struck a man who was walking along the shoulder.
"The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center," Farkas said in a news release.
"Ciccone was the sole occupant of the vehicle and did not sustain injuries," she added.
Ciccone is currently being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 2 at 9 a.m.
"Due to the severity of the pedestrian’s injuries, the Cheyenne Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is taking over the investigation," said Farkas.
