Cheyenne Hires Laramie Planner As Planning & Development Director

Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr has announced the hiring of Charles Bloom as the Planning and Development Director for the City of Cheyenne.

Bloom has served as a Principal Planning Director for the City of Laramie for the past 13 years. In 2016 he won the Wyopass (Wyoming State Planning Association) Planner of the year award.

During his time in Laramie, he was named project manager for the Laramie Unified Development Code and the Laramie Housing Study 2030, among other projects.

Bloom holds a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado-Denver and a Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder.

He will start his new job on November 7.
