A woman who admitted earlier this year to selling methamphetamine as part of a Casper-area drug ring was sentenced to a term of probation Tuesday morning in Natrona County District Court.

Kelly Ann Stanley, 48, received three years of supervised probation with an underlying, suspended two- to four-year prison sentence for one count of conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.

The crime carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine, but Assistant District Attorney Trevor Schenk recommended the reduced sentence in exchange for Stanley's guilty plea.

District Judge Thomas Sullins also ordered Stanley to complete counseling and an outpatient drug treatment program.

The list of co-defendants in the case, Sullins said, showed Stanley had been associated with "substantial drug dealers in our community."

Court documents say a special agent with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation in January learned from a confidential source that Stanley was working as a "runner" for 31-year-old Donald Ray McIntosh, who was allegedly working with 39-year-old Michael Ross to run a meth distribution ring.

Stanley admitted to having sold meth for the two men, who were arrested in January. A number of other people were accused of involvement in the meth ring.
