Casper Woman Arrested for Domestic Battery, Drug Possession
A fight between a husband and wife allegedly turned physical and led to a woman's arrest late Friday, with her husband reportedly turning her marijuana stash over to police.
Chasity Renee Delrio, 30, was arrested on charges of domestic battery and possession of marijuana.
According to court documents, two police officers and a Natrona County Sheriff's deputy went to an address on North Washington at about 8:45 p.m. Friday for a report of a drunk woman who had punched her husband in the face.
An officer interviewed Delrio, who reportedly explained she "might have punched" her husband while trying to make him leave. She said the two had been arguing about infidelity and fought over Delrio's phone before Delrio pushed her husband and punched him in the face, allegedly saying "I hit him."
Meanwhile, another officer interviewed the husband and photographed a red mark on his left cheek.
Delrio was placed under arrest for domestic battery, and officers walked her toward a patrol car.
Before reaching the car, Delrio reportedly began screaming and swearing at her husband. She tried to twist away from the deputy, causing both of them to fall onto the street.
An officer unsuccessfully tried to catch Delrio, who hit the pavement and suffered a cut over her right eye and a scrape on her shoulder.
While officers tended to Delrio, her husband showed another officer a drawer in the kitchen where Delrio allegedly stashed her marijuana. The husband turned over two pipes and what turned out to be about eight grams of pot.
Delrio alleged she had been assaulted and was "covered" in bruises. She also said she had been "stabbed" by her husband about a week prior, but did not seek medical treatment.
After being taken to Wyoming Medical Center, Delrio reportedly told nursing staff about the puncture wound and said she "did that" awhile ago.
Delrio's blood-alcohol concentration was .180, according to the affidavit.
