Most of the people of Casper are aware of the spectacular David Street Station project underway downtown.

This beautiful plaza will become a hub of activity for theatrical, music and civic functions in our town.

And the central feature of all that will be a beautiful, fully equipped stage in the center of the project, and there is a drive underway to name it for an old friend of the city who left us far too soon.

The Brian Scott Gamroth Community Stage is the dream of the project planners, and to that end, a generous donor has already given half the cost of the stage, $250,000, and the rest will come from the public.

Brian was, needless to say, a force in the Casper community for theater, music and general civic involvement in the arts, and the Downtown Development Authority felt the stage was a fitting tribute to the man who gave the city so much.
