Casper Teams Go 1-3 at State Soccer Tournament

The Casper soccer teams had a tough day at the State Soccer Tournament with 3 out of 4 losing in the quarterfinal round. The Natrona boys pulled off a stunning upset as they beat Thunder Basin 4-1. NC came into the match with a record of 8-9-1 and Thunder Basin was 17-1-1. Natrona got a couple of first half goals from Teagan Chadderdon and 2nd half goals from Jordan Milby and Joey Antonovich. The Mustangs played the last 42 minutes of the match, short a man thanks to a red card. Natrona plays Laramie in the semi-final round. The Kelly Walsh boys lost to Cheyenne Central 1-0. Regulation ended in a scoreless tie and Central won the shoot-out 7-6 with KW's last shot hitting the post. The Trojans meet Cheyenne East in the consolation round. The Natrona girls lost to Thunder Basin so the Filles play Jackson in a loser out game. The Kelly Walsh girls were defeated by Cheyenne Central 2-1 with Nicole Klugness tallying the lone Trojans goal. KW will play Rock Springs in the consolation round on Friday.
