The City of Casper is reminding residents that it is illegal to place recreational vehicles, boats, campers and trailers on the street for more than five days in any 30-day period.

"It is now the time of year when drifting and blowing snow, poor visibility, icy road conditions, and other winter hazards combined with parked recreational vehicles make City streets even more hazardous,” code enforcement manager Craig Collins said in a news release.

Code enforcement officers will look for and may issue notices if people violate this parking ordinance, Collins said.

“We are looking to work with citizens to keep our streets as safe as possible especially this time of year,” he said.

Recreational vehicles may be stored on private property, but Collins said owners should be aware of any sight obstructions they may cause.
