Douglas Police Chief Ron Casalenda issued a press release late Friday indicating there will be murder charges in the death of a man whose body was found on Thursday.

The Chief says that based upon information received during the investigation, formal criminal charges of aggravated assault and one count of 2nd degree murder have been filed against 30-year-old Maxwell B. Schwartz, a recent resident of Douglas.  The victim in the case has been identified as 32-year-old Joseph J. Schwartz.

The investigation is ongoing, is an isolated incident and there is no perceived threat to the public.  Maxwell Schwartz is being held pending further court appearances.
