Prosecutors have charged twenty-year old Jacob Dziewic with one count of Felony Possession of a Firearm, three counts of Felonious Restraint, and one count of Aggravated Assault.

According to investigators, one of the hostages told them that herself, her boyfriend and three other people were visiting Dziewic at the hotel, the night before.

Dziewic and another person left for awhile and came back with a suitcase full of drugs and also starting showing off their guns.

The two later refused to allow anyone to leave and police arrived on scene a short time later.

Prosecutors say Dziewic was on probation at the time, on an unrelated charge.

He is being held on two-hundred thousand dollars bond awaiting trial.

One person is dead in connection to the hostage situation at a west-side Casper hotel.

Police say one person is dead and one person is in custody following a day long armed standoff at the Casper west-side Super 8 Hotel.

Casper Police Chief Chris Walsh says the unidentified male took his own life, near the end of the standoff.

Four hostages were released unharmed during the negotiations.

Chief Walsh says police got a call at around 6 AM Tuesday, August 21st, regarding suspicious activity.

When officers arrived at the hotel, they were informed that it was a hostage situation, and there were six people in a room at that time.

"Two individuals were the suspects and then four people were being held there, against their will. Throughout the day, negotiations were conducted and four of who we believe were hostages were released unharmed and ultimately at the end of the day, we were able to talk out one of those that we believe was a suspect in there. Towards the end of the day at around four o'clock, the remaining person inside the room, appears to have taken his own life."
