Bar Nunn Woman Admits to Prescription Fraud
A Bar Nunn woman says she forged multiple prescriptions for painkillers while working for a Casper-area hospital.
Brandy Terrill faces a three to five year suspended prison sentence and three years probation after pleading guilty to two counts of prescription fraud in Natrona County District Court on Tuesday.
Investigators say, back in May, police were called to Casper Orthopedics to investigate a series of suspicious prescriptions made out to Terrill on the office’s prescription pads for Oxycodone. Police then confirmed three of the prescriptions made out to Terrill were forged.
Court records say Terrill admitted to police that she wrote the prescriptions for herself while she was working at a hospital. Terrill then told investigators that she had the prescriptions filled at multiple pharmacies in Casper.
Terrill also told investigators that she had a pain killer addiction after multiple wrist surgeries.
Terrill is out on $2,500 bond. Sentencing will be set for set for a later date.
