Arson Suspected in Cheyenne Fire That Caused Over $300K in Damage
Cheyenne Fire Rescue says firefighters were called to the scene in the 1500 block of Richard Martin Drive at 6:21 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
"When firefighters arrived on scene, they found flames and smoke coming from the structure and the fire quickly gaining in size," CFR said in a press release. "(They) used several large hose streams, and the fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes."
CFR says the heat generated by the fire created many challenges and caused damage to three other residential buildings also under construction.
"Damage to the building, neighboring properties, and equipment is estimated to be over $300,000," police spokeswoman Alex Farkas said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspected arson to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at 307-638-TIPS or visit silentwitnesslaramiecounty.com.
Informants will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
