Some of America's most familiar and beloved musicals will be featured in the Casper Civic Chorale's upcoming Spring Gala, in an evening that includes dinner, dancing, and a bit of a twist.

“An Evening on Broadway: Rodgers & Hammerstein” will be presented at the Parkway Plaza on May 5th along with a buffet dinner and cocktails, and the Natrona County High School Jazz Band for dancing before the concert.

The songwriting team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II created some of the country's most popular and familiar shows, and the concert features 26 songs including a number of solos and duets.

The Chorale's director, Steve Grussendorf, says the audience will determine the order of the evening by randomly drawing numbers out of a hat. It's part of a quiz to see how many members of the audience know the name of the song and the musical they're from, and those who get all of numbers write will be entered into a prize drawing at the end.

The festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Grand Ball Room at the Parkway Plaza. The concert starts at 7:30. Tickets are $45.00 each, or $320.00 for a table of eight. They can be purchased at Hill Music, Donnell's Candies, or Wyoming Music. The deadline to purchase tickets is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd, so they can get the information to the caterer.
