WASHINGTON (AP) — Try explaining this if you're a member of Congress back home:

A proposed fix for a problem in the new health care law has created a situation in which lawmakers and staffers could gain access to abortion coverage, something that currently is denied to federal employees.
The health care law requires lawmakers and their personal staff to get private coverage through the same markets that uninsured Americans will use starting next year.

The government says it will keep paying part of the premiums. But in many states some of those plans may cover abortion.

Federal employee plans currently don't cover it.

Abortion opponents say the Obama administration needs to fix the situation.

Abortion rights supporters say health plans still won't be able to use taxpayer money to pay for abortion.
