With the 12-24 Club’s First Night Casper event less than two weeks away, officials with the organization say they’re ready for this year’s city-wide alcohol-free new year’s celebration.

12-24 Club director Heidi Foy says her organization has been planning the family-friendly fundraiser for several months.

“We got all of our venues set and our entertainers arranged, actually, by October,” Foy said. “This has been a fabulous year – this is our third year, so we have a little bit of experience under our belt.”

Foy says, this year, First Night Casper attendees can expect several old favorites, as well as a few new wrinkles.

“You’re going to expect to have all the different venues throughout downtown Casper and don’t miss the fireworks at the end of the night,” Foy said. “We built on what we started last year with the ice village, but we’re going to ramp that up a bit – the ice village will be at Yellowstone Garage as well as our headquarters.”

First Night Casper gets underway Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. Event buttons can be purchased through the 12-24 Club.
