Greening of the area surrounding the Tate Pump House along the North Platte River Parkway can move forward now that the Parkway Trust has met an important fundraising goal.

Executive Director, Angela Emery says the work has already begun with healthy topsoil in place for trees, shrubs, flowers and grass.

"The whole effect will just be a greening up of the Pump House and we hope to have the project completed by the end of May, so we'll have all of the summer season to enjoy."

Folks coming out to use the area around the  Pump House will hopefully notice a reduction in dust along with the beautification.

The $100,000 landscaping project is paid for with a $50,000 grant from the Tate Foundation matched by private donations.
