Those who know Morad park on a busy day know that pedestrian traffic slows when dog and people jams, mix with cross town bike traffic.

Adding a second bypass trail through the dog park is paid for and slated for later this year.

Platte River Parkway Executive Director, Angela Emery says they're currently selecting a designer. She says public input will follow as part of the process.

"We're trying to get our consultant on board who can guide us down that path, so to speak. And, yes, we will absolutely have a minimum of one meeting about the project."

The additional trail is proposed to run below the embankment to the south allowing for congestion relief.

Construction, Emery says will happen late summer or fall.

The project is paid for by a Wyoming Department of Transportation TEAL Grant and Optional One Cent funds.
