Investigators began speaking with a confidential source shortly after and learned that Kaufman and her boyfriend (C.H.) were selling methamphetamine. The informant's source of supply was C.H. and in turn, Kaufman was C.H.'s source of supply, the complaint states.

In a December 2020 interview, the confidential source reportedly told agents that Kaufman was receiving 25 lbs of methamphetamine every two weeks from a cartel member in Arizona. The informant believed that Kaufman was paying $3 - $4,000 for each pound of methamphetamine and was "supplying the whole state."

A second confidential source reportedly told DCI agents that they purchased 1/4 to 1/2 lbs of methamphetamine from Kaufman per work for $2,500 per 1/4 lbs.

The second confidential source allegedly told agents that they purchased 2 lbs of methamphetamine per week from Kaufman at a rate of $8,000 per pound. Between March 2020 and March 2021 the informant told police they purchased at least 36 lbs of methamphetamine from Kaufman to sell in Wyoming.
