Wyoming Lottery Says Over 7600 Wyoming Winners After First 2 Drawings
The Wyoming Lottery Corporation today reported that 4,889 players won a total of $21,028, during its first Mega Millions® drawing Tuesday night and 2,805 players won a total of $25,009 during its first Powerball® drawing Wednesday night.
Jon Clontz, Wyoming Lottery CEO said,
“I’m very happy to see Wyoming residents winning so quickly after the launch of the lottery, the support for the lottery has been tremendous and sales are going well.”
Wyoming residents have many chances to win with the next Mega Millions drawing being held on Friday, Aug. 29 and the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Aug. 30. The current estimated Powerball jackpot is $90 million and Mega Millions is $20 million.

The largest amount in the Aug. 27 Powerball drawing was $300. The five people who won $300 bought their tickets at the following locations: Pine Bluffs Sinclair, LLC in Pine Bluffs on Aug. 24; Mini Mart in Mills on Aug. 24; Town & Country Liquors in Cheyenne on Aug. 24; Alf’s Pub & Package in Cheyenne on Aug. 24; and Farmer’s Cooperative Association in Gillette on Aug. 25.

The largest amount won in the Aug. 26 Mega Millions drawing was $2,500. The winner bought their ticket at Smith's Food and Drug Centers, Inc. in Riverton on Aug. 24. The winner purchased their Mega Millions ticket with the multiplier option. Their total wager was $2 and resulted in a larger payout. Instead of winning $500 the player won $2,500. The Megaplier was 5x- increasing their total winnings to $2,500.
Two players won $500 - one player purchased a ticket at Jerry’s Interstate Service in Casper on Aug. 24 and another player purchased a ticket at the Kum & Go in Kemmerer on Aug. 26. For this particular drawing, if the two $500 winners had played the Megaplier, they would have increased their total winnings to $2,500.
Additionally, there was one $250 winner who bought their ticket at the same Kum & Go in Kemmerer on Aug. 26.
