Wyoming Attorney General Says Company’s Promise Was a Scam
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming's attorney general says a company's promise of a free steak dinner to people who attended a meeting about saving money on utility bills was a scam.
The attorney general's office filed a consumer-protection lawsuit against Pinnacle Powerful Solutions.
The lawsuit says the scheme involves salespeople selling homeowners heat barriers, solar fans and insulation they promise will decrease utility bills by 40 percent. But the prices are heavily marked up and the equipment has little effect on utility bills.
The lawsuit accuses the company of misrepresenting its products and affiliations and of using unfair acts and practices to sell merchandise.
Nevada Secretary of State records show Pinnacle Powerful Solutions was incorporated in Nevada. There are no active telephone listings for it or its officers, Ron Yung and Victor Canales.
