Watch The Wyoming Spring Football Practice Day 1 Report
Day one of spring football practice at the University of Wyoming lasted for over two hours in War Memorial Stadium Tuesday.
The Cowboys went in helmets with jerseys and shorts for the first of 15 sessions over the next five weeks.
Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl met with the media after practice and called it a “good day.” In the video above he talks about how important the QB battle and safety positions are for the Cowboys’ success. Plus he spoke about defensive ends, senior leadership, and more.
There are several Wyoming players that are not going through Spring Practice. They are defensive ends Garrett Crall (Jr.) and Josiah Hall (Sr.), offensive linemen Frank Crum (RFr.), Keegan Cryder (Soph.), and Alonzo Velasquez (Jr.), running back Reow Jackson (RFr.), wide receiver Justyn Stindt (Soph.), and punter Tim Zaleski (Jr.).
Five Cowboys will be limited during Spring Drills. They are corner C.J. Coldon (So.), linebacker Cassh Maluia (Sr.), receivers Gunner Gentry (Soph.) and C.J. Johnson (Sr.), and fullback Jaylon Watson (Sr.).
The Pokes return to the practice field Thursday and Saturday of this week. All practices are closed to the public except for two. The first is an outreach practice in Casper, Saturday, April 13, and the second will be Wyoming’s annual Spring Game, Saturday, April 27, in Laramie.
