Utah Men Accused of Killing Train Worker to Face Trial in Wyoming
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Prosecutors say a father and son likely will stand trial next year on Wyoming murder and kidnapping charges in the abduction and slaying of a Utah train worker.
Flint Wayne Harrison and Dereck James "DJ" Harrison are accused of abducting 63-year-old Kay Ricks in Salt Lake City in May and killing him in Lincoln County, in southwestern Wyoming.
Lincoln County Attorney Spencer Allred says he won't announce whether he will seek the death penalty against the Harrisons until they're transferred from Utah to face Wyoming charges.
Utah prosecutor Jeff Thomson says the Harrisons are set to stand trial there later this year on separate drug and kidnapping charges.
Utah prosecutors accuse the Harrisons of attacking a Utah woman and her four daughters days before Ricks was abducted.
