Two People Rescued from Island in Whitewater Park in Casper

The Casper Fire-EMS Department got a report this evening of a possible drowning at Whitewater Park.

Fortunately, it was a pair of people floating the river who got "distressed" and found themselves stranded on an island downstream from feature #4 at the park, and the Rescue team was dispatched.

They deployed a boat and plucked the two off the island.

They are described as wet, shaken up but otherwise alright.
