Platte River Revival Volunteer Day September 15th
You can be a part of the largest National Public Lands Day event in the country coming up on September 15th. The 12th Annual Platte River Revival Volunteer Day is an effort to clean up and restore the North Platte River and its banks, improving the ecosystem and riparian areas for the native vegetation and wildlife.
In the first 11 years of the Volunteer Day effort more than 1.3 million pounds of debris has been removed from the river, according to organizers. You can volunteer by yourself or as part of a family group, team, club, or office, There will be a number of activities available from picking up trash to dealing with Russian Olive trees.
After the clean-up you can join in the lunch and after-party, so come join in the effort to help maintain the North Platte as a beautiful place for the community to enjoy.
