Casper, Wyoming, Tuesday morning, 1:30am.

I'm an early riser because I have to get to the studios and put together a four-hour radio show that runs from 6 am to 10 am.

But this morning I'm pretty sure I'm not going to make it in.

Maybe I should have just slept at the radio studios.

This first picture, above, is of a car park at my neighbor's house.

Snow has been flowing over the roof and piling up on this vehicle all night.

Notice the car parked just behind it, in the second picture, does not have much snow.

It all depends on where it drifts.

At this point, I'm not sure of the depth of the white stuff, but I know it's at least knee-high in most places, and I'm a tall guy.

The road out in front of my house is under several feet of snow.

The city did not even bother to try and plow it overnight.

There was just no keeping up with the volume coming down.

And we are not done yet.

The snow continues through Tuesday and, perhaps, partly into Wednesday.

In our part of the state it's been falling slow and steady, and it just won't stop.

Phase two of this storm will be when the storm moves out and warmer air moves in.

That brings winds.

This snow is light, so it's going to blow all over, from a different direction, and cover anything that might have been plowed or dug out.

Wyoming might be closed for a couple of days.

Snow Crushes Wheatland, Wyoming Airplane Hangars

This row of hangars goes back many years. Some history was lost under a crush of snow.

March 21st, 2021. A record-breaking snowstorm had shut down most of Wyoming and was not yet done. Below is a gallery of photos as cleanup continues.

One of the small airports in Platte County, Wyoming is Phifer Airfield on Antelope Gap Road, east of Wheatland. Platte County has the Wheatland airport, along with one in Torrington and Guernsey. They were all shut down in the storm.
