Trailer Collapse on Yellowstone in Casper
A truck driver on Yellowstone Highway suffered an equipment failure that had it happened on Interstate 25 might have been more than a curiosity on the shoulder of the road.
The tractor trailer was eastbound on Yellowstone, between Beverly and Wyoming when the trailer simply collapsed in the middle.
The driver appears to have been able to pull the rig to the eastbound shoulder, thus not impeding traffic flow.
Sparks from the dragging undercarriage started a small fire, but a Casper Police officer was able to put it out with his extinguisher.
Another rig was brought in to off-load the cargo, and police vehicles have the area cordoned off until the trailer can be towed.
