The Wyoming Department of Health recently updated the state's vaccine priority groups to be more in line with national guidance while also rolling out new pre-registration and information options.
The University of Wyoming has had more than 100 employees who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and there are plans to make the vaccine available to other members of the UW community.
In addition to UWPD employees, those who are part of Phase 1a of vaccine administration in Albany County include Student Health Service employees; those involved in UW’s COVID-19 testing program
Though Wyoming is still in Phase 1A, Phase 1B vaccination priorities have been established and are generally being described to include people who are 70 years of age or older, as well as other frontline essential workers who interact with the public on a daily basis and are unable to consistently distance themselves from others.
