Mountain Lion

The Laramie County Sheriff's Office says it has received some reports of a mountain lion roaming around in the county northeast of Cheyenne.

Any incidents involving mountain lions should be reported as soon as possible to your local Game and Fish regional office.

You know you're vacationing in the west when you look out of your RV and see a mountain lion with a fox in its mouth. That's what happened to one family recently.

It's not exactly a big secret that if you live in Wyoming there's at least a chance that your home will have wildlife nearby. But, one Jackson Hole family learned they had a very big mountain lion family that paid them a visit while they were sleeping.

When a Game and Fish biologist arrived on scene, the mountain lion was spooked and ran away

The lion appeared healthy, Binfet said.

Residents are advised to put their pets inside and call law enforcement if they see the mountain lion.

Each of them admitted to shooting the lion and taking the carcass back to their vehicle.
