Pacheco, who represents Ward 3, was first elected to Casper’s City Council in 2014 and has been re-elected two times.

City Council proposals would limit the number of days one can legally camp on private property. It also seeks to prohibit camping near the North Platte River and other streams in Casper.

Council member and Realtor Lisa Engebretsen said people can buy houses with old electrical systems, but an inspector will inspect it based on current codes.

The Council has indicated it wished to fund organizations that supplement a city service or facility, or addresses a Council goal.

On Tuesday night during a work session, the Casper City Council discussed straw polling and reviewed the Council Leadership Election Process, making a few changes to the process as it stands currently.

Mayor Ray Pacheco said the Casper City Council looks forward to working with Eric Nelson as City Attorney.

Not that there was much to talk about.

At their bi-weekly work session, Casper City Council decided to not approve a request by the Casper-Natrona County Health Department to increase their funding from $540,000 to $650,000.

The defeat on first reading on Dec. 1 posed a problem because the city ordinance would then be out of sync with state law.

The contractors will bring in heavy equipment in neighborhoods.
