Weather officials are warning of increased fire danger in areas of central Wyoming for the next couple of days. According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, we will see moderate to high fire danger across portions of central Wyoming including both Natrona and Johnson counties.

Dry, grassy fuels will combine with low relative humidity and windy conditions for a couple of hours each afternoon Wednesday and Thursday to create the increased danger. If you're considering burning during these times, they urge caution and suggest you consider waiting until a better burn day.
