A Casper man is accused of hurting children and stealing a motorcycle, all while out on bond.

Thirty year old Shawn Gangwish has been charged with nine counts of child abuse, one count of aggravated assault and battery with a drawn deadly weapon, one charge of robbery, and six different misdemeanor offenses.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in the child abuse cases, the children described various instances such as one being thrown to the ground and losing consciousness, one having his hand slammed in a door requiring a cast, and one being hit with a flashlight.

All of the instances are alleged to have occurred in 2016.

One child said Gangwish once broke their phones so that no one could be contacted about the abuse.

In a separate instance, on August 4th, Police investigators were called to an alley on Fremont Avenue for a report of a woman who had been hit in the head, and had her motorcycle stolen.

The victim said she was meeting Gangwish to collect money for the motorcycle, but when she arrived at his residence, Gangwish was in the middle of an argument with another person and the victim ended up being struck by Gangwish, who then took the motorcycle and eventually crashed it.

In both the child abuse and robbery instances, Gangwish was out on bond for a domestic battery arrest that occurred in June.

He is awaiting trial on a $50,000 cash only bond.
