Started by Brother Raymond Philips in 1989 with just 3 apartments, Seton House now has 30 apartments and will celebrate 25 years of providing services to over 1250 homeless single parents and their children in December. A reception will be held December 5, 2014 at Seton House and the public is invited to join the celebration.

In conjunction with this celebration and in an effort to raise awareness about the critical need to continue providing services to homeless single parents, a mini-playhouse on-line auction will be held November 3 – December 5.

The 9 mini-playhouses will be displayed throughout the community in various business locations. All 9 mini-playhouses are built by community members. Information about Seton House will be displayed along with each house to educate the public regarding the services provided at Seton House. Each mini-playhouse is custom-painted and ready to be furnished. The mini-playhouses to be auctioned include a lighthouse, barn, fire station, farmhouse, beach bungalow, 2 log cabins, Victorian mansion and a mountainside home.

Houses will be displayed at Donell’s Candies, First Interstate Bank, downtown branch, The Science Zone,
Sadler’s Hallmark Cards, The Knowledge Nook, The Galilean, Automation Electronics, Greiner Ford/GMC and
Murdock’s Home and Ranch.

The reception will be held December 5, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 at the Family Learning Center, 333 East “H”. All mini playhouses will be on display with additional opportunities to purchase to purchase mini-playhouses. An additional fully furnished mini-playhouse donated by Ardell Breed, will be raffled during the event. Refreshments will be served from 5:30-6:30. There will be a short program, including presentations by current and former residents and children from 6:30 to 7:00, followed by the announcement of the mini-playhouse winners.
