Record Low Temperature Set in Casper

Thursday morning saw a new record low temperature set in Casper, breaking a record set back in 2009.

The temperature fell to -31 F just before 1 a.m. Thursday at the Natrona County International Airport. The previous record low for Dec. 8 was -29 F.

Thursday's low temperature also breaks the record low for the first 15 days of December, according to the National Weather Service.

Bondurant saw the state's lowest temperature Thursday, at -33 F. The South Entrance to Yellowstone National Park was at -26 F, and Old Faithful hit -25 late Wednesday.
