A group from the Wyoming chapter of the National Federation of the Blind will hold a rally Tuesday morning outside the Dick Cheney Federal Building in Casper. They want to draw the attention of U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi's Office, because Sen. Enzi is a ranking member of the Health Education Labor and Pensions Committee.

Rally at 10 am, outside Sen. Enzi's Casper Office:

"The Workforce Investment Act is being reauthorized. The way the law is written right now, in section 511 with that act, makes it possible with people with disabilities to earn sub-minimum wage, and our organization, the National Federation of the Blind of Wyoming, is against that. People with disabilities should be paid equally for equal work."

Michael Harris, board member of the National Federation of the Blind of Wyoming, said that Tuesday, July 26th, is the 21st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The re-authorization of the Workforce Investment Act is in early August.
