At least one person is hospitalized after driving over an embankment and into the North Platte River.

Mills police say at around 2 pm on Wednesday, March 6th, a male driver was southbound on Chamberlin Road, when he drove off the road, over an embankment, dropping about 30 feet, before his car landed on its roof in the river.

The driver is being treated for shoulder and back injuries.

Investigators are still trying to determine the exact cause of the crash.

The driver's name has not been released.
