No injuries were reported in a tornado that was spotted near Bar Nunn Friday afternoon, according to a Natrona County Emergency Management statement issued Friday evening.

Officials began tracking a severe thunderstorm at 3:25 p.m. Exactly one hour later, outdoor warning sirens in Bar Nunn sounded due to reports of a visible tornado in the area. Radar imaging confirmed that.

The storm continued to track toward Midwest and Edgerton.

As of 7 p.m. Friday, there are no reports of injuries or damage from the storm. Students in Midwest sheltered in place until the all-clear was given at 6:23 p.m.

Natrona County Emergency Management advises the public to avoid traveling in the "heavier hit" Midwest and Edgerton area. If travel is necessary, use caution until standing water dissipates.
