Republicans Forrest Chadwick and Matt Keating held off challenges by four other challengers to win seats on the Natrona County Board of Commissioners. Chadwick and Keating each garnered more than 14,000 votes.

There were several local contested races for state legislative seats. One of the most hotly contested saw Republican Carl “Bunky” Loucks defeat Democratic challenger Mike Gilmore for the State House District 59 seat. Loucks earned 1,885 votes, compared to Gilmore’s 1,526 votes.

Republican Jim Anderson held off a challenge by Democrat Kim Holloway. Anderson netted 4,560 votes, with Holloway getting 2,462.
