Muddy Mountain Road Opens [AUDIO]

The Casper Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management opened Muddy Mountain Road Tuesday. The road is closed for the winter and reopened in the spring every year. Leslie Ann Collins, spokeswoman for the BLM High Plains District, said opening the road is much anticipated and they've been getting calls asking when.

Closed last November, now open again:

"Muddy Mountain opened today (Tuesday). People are real excited they can get up there and enjoy the warm weather. There's still a little bit of snow up there, so people should be careful on the roads."

Ms. Collins says people enjoy the Muddy Mountain Environmental Education Area for its many recreation trails and two campgrounds.
